Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is an in office procedure that uses a scalpel to exfoliate the skin and remove the vellus hairs on the face.
After the procedure the skin is brighter, smoother and allows skincare products to penetrate better. Make up goes on more smoothly over the skin.
Who is a candidate for dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a great choice for people who have dull skin, build up of dead skin cells, and peach fuz hairs. This procedure should be avoided if you have active breakouts or highly reactive and sensitive skin. Dermaplaning wont cause acne, in fact it can help prevent acne by removing a build up of dead skin cells that may causes clogging.
What procedures can dermaplaning complement?
Dermaplaning can be added to a variety of skin care treatments to get the best results. The smooth skin that dermaplaning leaves behind is a good base for hydrafacial, regular spa facials, chemical peels, and microneedling.
How often should you get dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning can be done monthly, however most clients repeat the treatment every 6-8 weeks. If you have sensitive skin you might get it done quarterly.
